Why a small noticeboard of free games sits on a quiet quay, and what we promise everyone who stops by.
A noticeboard, not a shopfront
Harbour Lamp is a small website that brings three free social games together in one calm, clearly labelled place. Think of the board on the wall of a harbour office: tide times, a note about a lost oar, a poster for the regatta. We wanted the same plain honesty. You can read what each game is about, open it right in the page, play for a while with pretend credits and wander off again. That is the whole arrangement.
Who it is for
Grown-ups of 18 or older who like the colour and clatter of reel games without any wish to put money behind them. The site is written for visitors in Ireland, so our support contacts and privacy information are Irish, though the games themselves work in any modern browser.
What we keep off the quay
- Real-money play of any kind. Nothing on this site accepts money or pays it out.
- Sales. There are no credit packs, subscriptions, tips or upgrades.
- Prizes. Nothing with a monetary value is offered, awarded or promised.
- Accounts. You never sign up, log in or hand over personal details to play.
- Pressure. No countdown clocks, streak rewards, leaderboards or nagging pop-ups from us.
Who built the games
An outside studio made all three, and what you see here are its demo editions, embedded so they can be played without charge. The names and write-ups on this site are our own work, while the trademarks stay with their owners. Since each game streams from the studio’s servers, everything inside the frame is their craft rather than ours.
How we write about them
Every set of berth notes describes the theme and mechanics in plain language, and always in terms of fictional credits. We never claim that a game is generous, lucky or due to pay out. A free game reveals nothing about how real-money play would turn out, and we will never hint otherwise.
Keeping the lamp lit
