Terms of use
The ground rules for using Harbour Lamp, written to be read rather than skimmed.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
1. Scope
These terms cover every visit to harbourlamp.com, referred to below as “Harbour Lamp”, “the site”, “we” or “us”. Using the site means you agree to them; if you would rather not, please leave the site.
2. Over-18s only
Harbour Lamp is restricted to people aged 18 or older. Choosing “Yes” at the age gate is your confirmation that you qualify. Please keep minors from reaching the site through your devices.
3. The nature of the site
Harbour Lamp is a free website that describes and embeds three social games for entertainment. It does not provide gambling of any sort: real money cannot be played, staked or wagered, nothing is sold, no prize of monetary value exists, and nothing can be redeemed for cash or goods.
4. Play credits
Each game supplies its own pretend credits. Those credits:
- are worth nothing in money;
- can never be bought, received as a prize, withdrawn, transferred, sold or traded away in return for any kind of payment, goods or service;
- may be reset at any moment, for example whenever a game reloads;
- do not represent any debt or obligation owed to you.
5. Third-party games
Each game is a demo edition that its third-party developer makes available, embedded here so it can be played without charge. It streams from the developer’s servers, so what it shows, whether it is online and how it behaves are all beyond our control. Game titles, artwork and trademarks inside the frames belong to their owners; the names shown on our pages are labels of our own choosing. How a free game behaves predicts nothing about any real-money product.
6. Fair use
Please do not:
- try to break, flood or get into parts of the site you are not meant to reach;
- harvest the site’s pages or content with automated tools;
- use Harbour Lamp for anything unlawful.
7. Ownership of our material
Unless marked otherwise, the writing, drawings and design on Harbour Lamp belong to us. Linking to any page is welcome, as is quoting a line or two with credit and a link. For anything larger, ask first.
8. Changes to the site
The site is free, and we may alter, suspend or withdraw pages or games whenever we need to, without advance notice. We take care over accuracy, yet we cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or current.
9. Our responsibility
Harbour Lamp is offered on an “as is” basis. So far as Irish law allows, we accept no liability for loss that results from using the site or the games embedded on it. These terms do not exclude any liability the law says cannot be excluded, and they leave your statutory consumer rights untouched.
10. External links
We point to support services, a regulator and other public bodies because we believe they are useful. What appears on those sites is their responsibility, not ours.
11. Looking after yourself
When playing stops being enjoyable, it is time to stop. Our safer play page points to free and confidential support around Ireland.
12. Your data
The small amount of data the site touches is described in the privacy notice and the cookie policy.
13. Updating these terms
We may revise these terms. The date shown near the top tells you when that last happened, and carrying on with the site after a revision counts as accepting it.
14. Applicable law
Irish law governs these terms, and the courts of Ireland will hear any dispute about them. That does not take away any mandatory consumer protection available to you in the country where you live.
15. Getting in touch
Send questions about these terms to [email protected].
